Cancelled?

Just got news that DC's Men Of War will be cancelled after issue #8, which is ok with me as the series was going down hill after a very strong start. The good news about this is DC will be replacing it with GI Combat, which will feature rotating creators and characters such as The Haunted Tank and The Unknown Soldier. I'm really looking forward to this title and hope they put in a story with Enemy Ace.

Men Of War #5

Not even about war anymore. This has to be one of the worst books I've ever read. The story seems to go no where and everywhere at once without explaining anything. The second story in the book is even worse, it's almost a backwards ripoff of the movie Mr. and Mrs. Smith. I think it's two undercover agents having a knife fight that ends with a missile attack and both walking away. Avoid this book, and quite possibly the series. I'm stuck with it for at least 3 more issues since I've already ordered them.

Marine War Heroes #16

This issue has four comic stories. Three based in Viet Nam and one in World War 2. One of the Nam stories showed a plan I had never heard of or thought of before, using the Viet Cong's tunnels. A Marine hides out in one with a radio man and directs an air attack on surrounding Viet Cong.
The WW2 story was really good as well, and involved Filipino villagers assisting Marines in attacking the Japanese.
There was also a WW1 one page prose story in this issue.
